Common questions about working with Stonebridge Builds. If your question isn’t covered here, the contact page is the fastest way to reach me directly.
Every project begins with an enquiry through the contact form or by email. I respond within one business day to arrange an initial consultation, which is the starting point for any planning or quotation work.
Yes. Where a project requires a property walk-through to scope properly, I attend in person. This is typically arranged at the consultation stage and is included in the Project Consultation & Planning service.
Yes. The Bespoke Property Improvement Project tier is specifically designed to be shaped around your brief. Even within the standard service tiers, the scope is agreed in writing with you before any work begins.
Once a service has been paid for, I issue a written acknowledgement and confirm the next step — either booking the consultation, issuing the project plan, or confirming the scheduled start date, depending on the service purchased.
Timelines depend on the scope. A consultation is typically delivered within five business days. Improvement projects range from a few days to several weeks. The target completion window is always agreed in writing before work begins.
Yes. Every improvement project is delivered against a written plan that sets out the scope, materials, sequence and exclusions. The plan is reviewed with you before any quotation is issued.
I am based in East Ham, London, and the majority of my projects are within London and the surrounding boroughs. For projects further afield, please get in touch and I will let you know whether the brief is something I can take on.
Yes. Quotations are issued on a fixed-scope basis. The price you agree is the price for the work described in the project plan. Any genuine variation is documented and priced separately in writing before any additional work begins.
No. Stonebridge Builds is a project-based practice. I do not offer subscriptions, memberships, recurring services or ongoing maintenance plans. Each engagement is a self-contained project with a defined beginning and end.
Initial bookings are paid online through the secure Stripe links published against each service. Larger projects are invoiced against the schedule set out in the project plan, with payment terms agreed in writing in advance.
Project rescheduling is handled by mutual agreement and depends on the stage of the project. The Refund Policy sets out the full position on cancellations, rescheduling and partial completion.
Yes. Where a brief requires a discipline outside my scope — for example, specialist electrical or plumbing work — I am happy to coordinate with the homeowner’s preferred professional or recommend bringing one in.
Yes. I carry appropriate insurance cover for residential improvement work. Insurance details are provided on request as part of the project planning phase.
Yes. The terms of any guarantee are set out in the project plan and the Terms & Conditions, and are confirmed in writing at the completion review. I take responsibility for the work I deliver.
Complaints are taken seriously and handled in line with the formal Complaints Procedure published on this site. The first step is to contact me directly so the matter can be addressed.
